App Store ya ha servido 1.000 millones de aplicaciones
Hace unos días que se venía avisando de que la tienda online de aplicaciones para dispositivos móviles de Apple sobrepasaría la cifra mítica de 1.000 millones de aplicaciones, utilidades y juegos vendidos o servidos (para el caso de los programas gratuitos). Ya lo han logrado.
Según las estimaciones ya hay en esta tienda online entre 25.000 y 35.000 aplicaciones de todo tipo disponibles, y gracias al esfuerzo de miles de desarrolladores -y a pesar de las críticas que también han existido del servicio- Apple ha logrado servir ya más de 1.000 millones de desarrollos a través de esta plataforma. El éxito de App Store en iTunes es asombroso, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que este servicio lleva activo 9 meses, desde el lanzamiento del iPhone 3G el pasado verano en 21 países. Aquel lanzamiento y la aparición del nuevo firmware -que precisamente daba acceso a la descarga de aplicaciones desde la App Store- han sido cruciales para el éxito de la App Store.

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
