IBM anunció un nuevo software de gestión de contenido empresarial (enterprise content management - ECM) diseñado para permitir a los clientes administrar sus volúmenes crecientes de información y reducir el tiempo de procesamiento hasta en un 50%, con el objetivo de bajar costos y elevar la eficiencia.
El nuevo software incluye una oferta integral de gestión de procesos de negocio con capacidades analíticas, nuevas características en la línea de productos de gestión de contenido de IBM y paquetes iniciales (starter packs) ECM de funcionalidad completa, específicamente diseñados para clientes que buscan implementaciones más pequeñas.
Con las nuevas ofertas, los clientes pueden tornarse más eficientes en la forma en que administran sus procesos de negocio y tener acceso rápido y fácil a información cuando la necesitan. Por ejemplo, las compañías de Seguros pueden manejar volúmenes crecientes de información tales como formularios de reclamos y pólizas de seguros, que deben ser procesados en forma oportuna y eficaz. Si los clientes sufren un desastre natural, como un huracán, es imperativo que sus compañías de seguro respondan rápidamente. Al automatizar los procesos de negocio intensivos en trabajo manual que también son propensos a error, tales como suscripciones, procesamiento de reclamos y emisión de pólizas, estas compañías ahora pueden reducir hasta 50% el tiempo de procesamiento. Esto puede ayudarlas a mejorar la eficiencia y la satisfacción de los clientes con prontitud.
De igual modo, es crucial que el personal de hospitales tenga la información correcta, en el momento oportuno. Confiar en procesos manuales para la información de los pacientes puede ser costoso e incluir mucha mano de obra. Al racionalizar los procesos de negocio, el personal de hospitales puede tener acceso instantáneo a la información pertinente para responder con más rapidez a los requisitos de los pacientes, reduciendo costos y ofreciendo una mejor atención de la salud.
