Apple censura al Dalai Lama.
Apple, al igual que Google, Microsoft y Yahoo! (entre muchas otras) se pliegan a la vergonzante represión china, en este caso censurando aplicaciones relativas al Dalai Lama en la App Store del país asiático.
Dalai Quotes, Dalai Lama Quotes, Dalai Lama Prayerwhee, Paging Dalai Lama y Nobel Laureates son las cinco aplicaciones censuradas por Apple China en relación con el líder tibetano en el exilio.
Motivos: los de costumbre, el vil metal; más vil que nunca, que en algunos casos han llevado a los grandes buscadores ya no solo a censurar, sino a ayudar activamente a encarcelar a disidentes.
En el caso de Apple el principal objetivo era asegurar el lanzamiento del iPhone en el país a cargo de China Unicom. Lanzamiento –por cierto- de momento fiasco ante el bajísimo volumen de ventas.
No sabemos si en Cupertino no conocen las condiciones de vida miserables de la inmensa mayoría de la población china por mucho autobombo gubernamental. Impensable abonar 600 dólares por un iPhone. Sobre la censura de aplicaciones, otro gesto vergonzoso más de una multinacional occidental, de rodillas ante las exigencias de la dictadura del país.
